Good morning everyone!
I’m checking in today as I’m going to outline what yarny goodness you’ll need for our little crochet-a-long (CAL) tutorials so you have time for it to be delivered 😊 (apologies I won’t be doing the kits as I simply can’t get out to source the supplies).
Pattern 1 – Ultimate beginner: Ear Saver 👂🏻
I thought it would be great if we could make something that will benefit our front-line key workers who are having to wear masks all day. A super simple design that will be great for those of you who have never picked a hook up before, or want some guidance after having dabbled but don’t yet feel too confident!
Pattern 2 – Intermediate or brave beginner: Rainbow of Unity 🌈
This one is for the more experienced crocheter who’s maybe done a couple of projects before and involves a few more skills such as colour changes and increasing or a beginner who’s feeling brave!
YOU WILL NEED:
1 colour of yarn (I’ll be using Yarn and Colours Must Have Minis)
1 crochet hook (3mm or equivalent for gauge of cotton used)
2 decent sized buttons
Tapestry or yarn needle (one with a big eye so you can sew in those ends and attach your buttons)
Stitch marker (Optional but you could also use a bobby pin!)
7 colours of yarn (I’ll be using Yarn and Colors cotton)
1 crochet hook (3mm for the above yarn, or the corresponding size for whatever yarn you want to use)
Pom poms (Optional)
Tapestry or yarn needle
I would recommend Wool Warehouse for your supplies as they stock everything mentioned above (and it’s always great to support a family business) but give them a little more time than usual due to the outbreak.
I’m aiming to start the CAL on the 24th April 2020, dependent on when everyone’s supplies arrive! This could move but this will be the start date we’re going to aim for.
I will do a live stream Q&A Session on the 17th April for anyone who wants to ask anything.
Have a great bank holiday weekend and stay safe!
